Brief to Mc Donnell Design, Interior Designers.
The brief was to create a relaxed coffee shop on an extremely tight budget.
Solution
The tight budget dictated an industrial urban feel, working with the existing high ceiling and terrazzo floor. An eclectic industrial design using digital wallcoverings and a grey painting scheme sets the tone. While a mishmash of retro leather sofas, coffee tables, dining height tables and salvaged bench tables add to the informal feel. The servery area has a refrigerated serve over mixed with individual freestanding open workbenches and display/storage units. Finally the lighting system used contemporary industrial pendent fittings to complement the retro interior.

The Scullery is rated number 3 on Tripadvisor for cafes in Derry City.
